Remember when Ben said there weren't too many high-end fake watch companies making great travel-time replica watches in his Lange review? Well add one more to the list.
Coming to us from the manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre is a brand new model in the awesome and always impressive Duometre family. This time, we're looking at a limited edition travel-time fake watch in white gold called the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time. Read on for details.
For this new fake watch with a new movement, the Dual-Wing system is divided into two distinct mechanisms: the first is devoted to displaying the local time, and the second to show that in a second time zone. The two mechanisms share the same regulating organ but each has its own independent source of energy, thereby avoiding the losses due to interaction between the mechanisms. The operation of the dual time-zone display does not in any way influence the running of the watch. Both movements are wound and set by the crown, but the home time is set by turning it counter-clockwise, while the travel-time is set by turning it clockwise - cool.
The home time is read on the dial to to the right, and the travel time on the dial to the left. The travel time is completely independent and can be set to the minute, and the hour is displayed in a jump-hour, digital format. At six o'clock you see the day-night indicator in the form of globe, which is reminiscent of Greubel Forsey's crazy GMT from last year. The caliber 383 features 498 individual parts and is finished completely by hand.
The case of this limited edition travel time is 42mm in diameter and 13.65mm thick. Only 100 of them will be made, all in white gold, and they will be sold as of today at the Paris Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique. Price, while unconfirmed, should be around 40,000 euro - but we'll confirm ASAP.
